While I have taught coaches on the DISC, I thought it would be nice to have another perspective and so Nigel Gracie from Thomas International has offered to do a webinar with me. Video Training Series on Leadership 360

I have completed four videos on Leadership 360 degree assessments with training on how to use and administer the assessment that I offer at Assessments Here. The training is over 100 minutes of straight content and almost an hour of solid information in using any 360 leadership tool. Here is a two minute video highlighting what is covered. If you didn’t make the Strength Deployment Webinar on June 20th, here is a second chance. I was so excited to find out about Tina Mertel’s book “Meaningful Coaching: SDI in Coaching” that I asked Tina to come and do a course on the SDI and the ICF Competencies as part of our Coaching To Mastery Program. While this won’t certify you in using the SDI it will give you 4 CCE hours of valuable self learning and skills around the model. Are You Comfortable Using 360 Degree Feedback?

If the answer is yes, then you don’t need to read more. But if you are like many of the coaches I mentor, this is a big issue. I probably get more questions on this topic than any other. And usually my comment is that anything that can go wrong with using assessments while go exponentially wrong using a 360. Up until now, I have been somewhat reluctant to really do any serious training on this topic. However, the demand continues.

Platinum Rule Refresher

This is a short 12 minute overview of the Platinum Rule and some of the benefits of my Assess Yourself Online Centre.

The main goal was to check out the new webinar system I am using. It was pretty simple but a good dry run is helpful. Worked great but I think that I recorded on too low a conversion and the visual is rather small and grainy… better luck next time. You have both the video/audio version and jus the audio recording. Perhaps I should have just posted the latter?

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the excitement of using our assessment, we may forget to be sure it is suitable for the client and his or her objectives.

You may have noticed a slightly cleaner look to the site. I also have a photo that I took of Stonehenge a few years ago. It was a rainy summer day and there were few visitors but I was still amazed to capture a shot when everyone was out of view. I chose it not only because I like is so much but because while we may not fully know the intentions of the creators, Stonehenge was built to measure something. And that is what assessments do — they measure.

Quick Tip #10: Dividing a Large Group up into “Style”

This is a fast and energizing way to get a group to separate into different sections. The best part is it can be done on the fly – i.e. as you sort the group into “style” or “type” you can get them to go to their respective part of the room. It is best if you have four groups but I imagine it could be done with more but a little more creativity might be required.

I have successfully used this technique (with two “helpers) for a room with 250 people.
