Here is my interview with host Don Morris of the New Coach Connection recorded on February 4th, 2009. This interview was not about how to use any one assessment tool or procedure. To start out, I make the observation that many coaches are taught the mechanics of using an assessments without knowing the science behind them. Both mechanics and science are needed for the use of assessments to become an art. Finally, I outline six trends in the use of assessments in the coaching community as I see them for 2009.
